Weight Humour – A Compilation of Joke Memes

Image
Have you ever wondered why sometimes, losing and keeping weight off can be so difficult? By no means am I justifying ‘MY OWN REASONS’ but this is just adding a bit of weight humour to our struggle to this painful process that we all have to go through! There are approximately 196 countries in the world today, five oceans by size- Pacific, Atlantic, Indian, Southern and Artic. However, what does this mean when it comes to the number of seasons? While we know the general classification of seasons of winter, spring, summer and autumn there are different seasons across the world depending on the country. They happen because of the tilt of the Earth towards the sun. When its winter in Britain, its summer in Australia, However, seasons in India and America are not the same when it comes to the monsoon; other than that, everything else remains the same. Monsoon only occurs only in India and its neighbouring countries. So, with this glaring difference in seasons, this also brings a lot o...

Health is a FUNDAMENTAL right but actually is NOT even FUNDAMENTALLY right in India How ironic is this? How the Supreme court has held healthcare to be of utmost importance under Article 21 of the Constitution but it has been proven that “historical public spending” of over a percent of the GDP healthcare has gone ahead and safeguarded that the nation’s healthcare remains under-served and ONLY for the private sector to service! What a indignity to primary healthcare!! Doctors, healthcare companies, private sector players, etc.; are all out at attracting a steady stream of investments; but who is benefiting and how?  It is among the cheapest in the world, yet unaffordable for most locally. One of the biggest questions we need to ask ourselves, especially in current times is whether we are healthy and how ‘mathematically’ true this is. Healthcare has intrigued the scientific, social and economic intellect right since time immemorial, but what has changed?...

Are we too dependent on our computers and mobile phones? If yes how can we reduce the addiction?

YES – A glaring YES! Can you remember the last time you were a victim to an unhealthy habit: staying up late, binge eating, biting your fingernails, eating junk food or just being a couch potato (lazy)?  It’s easy to fall victim to a routine paralysis.    While routine is an excellent thing, it also can be very harmful as well. It is important to step out of our routine so that we become more flexible and nimble.  While habits are easy to form and they sound ‘easy’ to stop, the reality is that it’s just not so simple to stop a habit; especially when we get addicted to them.    One of the most common behavioural patterns may even go unnoticed by people, because they are just ‘automatic’ and compulsory behaviour patterns, such as shopping.   However, many activities such as using digital tools – such as computers or mobile apps have become more of addictions or unhealthy dependences, rather than your ‘typical habitat!’ We canno...

We now take more pills than ever before. Is this doing more harm than good? Have you ever taken a tablet prescribed to you by a family member or friend when you had a migraine, stomachache or because of stress related conditions? We live in a time and age where everyone wants a quick fix for all of their problems. Dealing with the everyday pressures and responsibilities that life carries with it can really overwhelm a person.  People deal with life’s problems differently; while some take medicines, there are others who run to illegal (harmful) drugs, others to family and there are many who even give up on themselves.  However, through all of this stress, people have found an easier way to deal with their problems and life’s struggles and that is to pop a pill (over-the-counter medicines).   Anxiety, depression or other mood disorders, heartburn, sleeping problems,  bipolar or eating disorders, are some of the health conditions why people take...
