Why Glute-Strength is Important?

When we think of the body’s powerhouse, usually the first thing that comes to mind is our core (abs). However, the truth is that we possess a far more powerful group of muscles in our body, known as the glutes. The glutes colloquially referred to as ‘our butt’ or ‘buttocks’ are in charge of our posture, athletic performance and overall strength.   They are the largest and strongest muscle group in the body. The glutes (gluteal muscles) are a combination of three different muscles: the gluteus maximus, gluteus medius, and the gluteus minimus. These mucles work together, attached by either tendons or ligaments to the surrounding bone area. These mucles are in charge of the movement all the way from the hip to the thigh and allow us to rise from a sitting position, stay in an erect position and climb stairs. A Mind Distracted with Distractions

The mind is hard to control; it only seems to stray; From one thought to the next, it only wants to play Distractions are like monkeys, dancing/playing in your mind   They’re hard to silence, hard to block, hard to leave behind Our mind can hold focus, just as long as we can try But in seconds can lose it all, leaving us wondering why; Our mind is like a puppy – a puppy sniffling here and there. Who doesn't even question, if anything is even fair. Distractions are so frustrating; they change by the hour, When you think you have it in control, you realise you lost power! But, when they get so luring, and they pull you like a light So, don't be afraid to face them, don't even try to fight.

Insomnia

A state of madness; of oblivion, of evasions from daylight My pillow and my blanket are my saviors for the night Time rolls by in slow motion; but my mind's on a different flight; On a flight full of thoughts... thoughts that only fight! Anger, sadness, guilt and fear all surface to the top, I toss and turn, but these thoughts of mine, these thoughts are all non-stop! I close my eyes and wait a while, there’s nothing I can do... I just can’t get myself to sleep, oh god its half past two! Am I on the edge of an abyss, for I just can’t get any rest?     As sleep eludes me every night, or maybe I’m just stressed.. Time moves by in slow motion; but my brain has gone to sleep, Its morning now, I guess its time for the cycle to repeat.
