Social Dynamics & Communication Skills

What makes a person succeed in life? Is it the quality of his work or is it his/her personality? Is there any particular factor that we can pinpoint to indicate a reason why a person succeeds in life? Sometimes I really wonder how some people have just got it right in life, or at least make it look so easy!
We live in a high connected world where we meeet people from different cultures and backgrounds. This could occur at work places or even in your personal life.

So, this is precisely why our communication skills and social dynamics are extremely important in order to attain any form of success in the highly connected world that we live in.
Communiation is the medium through which we share our knowledge, ideas and thoughts with others. Communication can occur verbally, visually or in the written form.
With this, listening forms an important aspect of developing good communication skills.. With the the society and people changing on such a rapid level it is very important to stay abreast wirth one’s communication skills.

It is thus very important for an indivisual to be a good communicator. Its essential, especially in our digital age that people make the best use of social networking sites such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube.

Communication and Social Dynamics
Having good communication skills is an absolute requiremennt in our society. if we want to maintain te social dynamics of the society then it is absolutely important for a person to be a good communicator.

However, what do we really mean by ‘social dynamics’?

Social dynamics can refer to the behaviour of groups that result from the interactions of individual group members and group leve; behaviours. It essentially is a branch of social physics which deals with the forces, laws and phenomena of change in society.

Some tips to improve our communication skills include:
1) Polish YOUR ‘Art of Listening’: Listeniing is one of the most important factors that takes part in communication. Either we listen to respond (which basically means no understanding or limited amounts) or we really utilise our mental attention to understand what has been said to us by people. It is far more important to have connections than anything else and ‘the art of listening’ becomes a key aspect in communication.

2) Adapt to the Changing Environment: Nothing is forever. You probably have heard that line before, right? Its actually true and it is very important to not just accept the constant changes that occur, but also be able to adapt to them. This will only help us in the long run, with our communication and it will improve our communiation in our social circles.

3) Read the ‘Unspoken words’: One of the most important parts of xommunication is the non-verbal paet. Body gestures, tobal variations, facial expressions, feelings and many other non-verbal cues convey a lot more than the words spoken. These ‘non-verbal’ cues are a very important part of the social dynamics and can even give you a glimpse into te personality of whom you are interacting with.

There are plenty of benefits of having good communication skills and most of them will help you in your workplace. Some of these include teambuilding and boosting an emplotee’s morale.
If we choose to ignore the emotional aspect undressed we are just at a risk of missing important information about the problem at hand, besides just derailing the communication process.
