Indian Elections 2019: Compelling Decisions ? ? !
What would you do if you wanted to make a first good impression, and walked out the door (with your bag) but were absolutely clueless about what you were to carry along inside! Now, this sounds very relatable doesn't it? Of course there are different types of bags – the tote bag, the saddle purse, a sling bag; but you get the drift!
Now, in a very different direction and field (of course) imagine you had to vote for a particular candidate, but didn’t know too much about what pointers to keep in mind. Now, this,is exactly why it is important to follow the news! Once a candidate is elected there will be severe criticism, the who, why, why not, where, when , etc.
So, some pointers to keep in mind when voting for the new Prime Minister and his Government are - to have a huge infrastructure push, a person and government able to tackle corruption, improve human development index (human skilled manpower and young population), a tremendous improvement towards health and education.
So, whoever you may vote for it is important to keep in mind one if not all of these pointers. Of course YOU and everyone wants an effective Prime Minister, right?

Taking a look at our current times, what has Narendra Damodardas
Modi the 14th Prime Minister of India who was elected in 2014 really accomplished or done for our nation? Well, we have to pay heed to the fact that he has been the first Prime Minister who was born after India’s independence from the British empire. Interesting trivia, isn't it?
There have been some major transformational achievements of Modi’s Government.
Introducing the ‘Make in India’ Movement (a type of Swadeshi movement to transform India into a global design and manufacturing hub), he also tried to attract foreign policy through ‘Digital India’.
So when we look at some of the major achievements of his tenure they include building a closer strategic relationship with the United States of America. This has strengthened its relationships with the easterns nations Japan, Vietnam and Australia; and strengthening its relationship with Bangladesh. This also includes China as well.
Another milestone is transforming the BJP into a pan – India party.
The introduction of the Goods and Service Tax (GST) from July 2017 has certainly been one of the most significant reforms of the Modi government.
Demonetisation –the one year of note ban and how it has changed and affected our country since it was announced by PM Narendra Modi. It was a its own objective and that was to break the grip of black money and the grip of corruption. For this, the 500 and 1000 rupee notes were no longer to be in tender usage (from 8th Nov 2016). There were many reasons such as to fight counterfeit currency in circulation, bringing black money lying idle in the banking system, to crack a whip against black money and to hit it hard at the financial backbone of naxalism and terrorism. So, it was a success to some extent.
The Implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) scheme, which is the world’s largest financial inclusion programs that aims to bring the marginalised and weaker sections of society the banking system. It enables these people to receive financial benefits from the government directly into their bank accounts.
However, democracy and freedom are being challenged in many countries. Now, the choice is in our hands – What kind of a leader do we want for our nation?
"Election days come and go. But the struggle of the people to create a government which represents all of us and not just the one percent - a government based on the principles of economic, social, racial and environmental justice - that struggle continues." - Bernie Sanders
