New York's THRILL Ride - The Beast

Departing from Pier 83 at West 42nd Street and the West Side Highway, you can find the neon green speedboat – The Beast- waiting for you to hop on board it! 








 

 





On this speedboat, you can roar down the Hudson River on a speedboat ride and see New York like you never have before! At a speed of 45 mph, The Beast is a thrill ride which takes you to a halt within 100 feet of the Statue of Liberty and gives you panoramic views of midtown and lower Manhattan as you speed by! In fact, the Beast makes a quick stop close at this distance for close-up photo opportunities! 

 



Led by comic captains Mad Dog and Wild Thing, the entire ride is accompanied by loud, rocking music and playful narration. You actually feel like you are on a ROLLERCOASTER but on the water! At a thrilling and high speed, you will get adrenaline highs not only will you get drenched, but you will bounce around on the water! 




The Beast is truly and aptly known to be a MONSTER on the surface but a ride you are surely not going to forget! Utilising two ZF 3000 marine gears, the ride is also powered by twin Hamilton Jets and has 1400 BHP horsepower! With twists and turns, you will scream your way down the river and feel the cool breeze of the Hudson River dissipating the heat!   

 

Not only will you circumnavigate Manhattan, but you will have the time of your life aboard this speedboat! I was lucky to go on this BEAST twice – once on the 17th and the second time on the 20th.  It is truly a blast to be aboard this speedboat which is not only a speed thrill but also the quickest 30 fun-filled minutes you will ever experience!

4 Mindfully Spent Days At Woods At Sasan for a Writing Retreat with Bhavna Kher

Writing has been my passion for over 18 years so when I heard about the Writing Retreat that screenwriter, brand consultant and former creative director of Ogilvy - Bhavna Kher was going to conduct I was immediately interested in attending the same.     Not only this but I also wanted to connect with other writers and also sharpen my writing skills as well. It was a perfect opportunity to find inspiration within a focused environment.  Moreover, the 4-day writing retreat, (September 14- September 18th) which was conducted at a luxury boutique resort provided the perfect break from city life, and mindfully focused on sharpening one’s writing skills.  Having our independent quarters, we were surrounded by thickets of trees, within a lush mango orchard on the fringes of the Sasan Gir forest. Habitat – My First Performance Venue

In 2016, although I had written extensively, I had never actually performed open-mic poetry. Writing had always been my primary form of expression, with speaking coming second. So, when I decided to take the stage for my first performance at The Habitat in Khar, I was nervous, especially doing it alone. I wanted to build my confidence, and this seemed like the only way to do it. Coincidentally, 2016 was also the year The Habitat was founded. It became the place where I made my debut as an artist. The Habitat quickly became a safe space where I forged friendships with fellow poets and artists. I still remember the moment that turned my life around—stepping onto that dimly lit stage, microphone in hand.
