Is this a writer's block??

Writing should come about naturally, never forced upon. I used to be able to write so easily, but now it’s become more like a chore. Maybe, that’s what happens when you’re not in touch with writing for long! It needs practice, no matter how easy it sounds. Anything, I guess when not kept in touch with loses its familiarity and this breaks the flow. The so-called “Writer’s Block,” something writers and people all fear of encountering can be a huge hurdle especially when you choose such a profession. It isn’t all that easy to string a bunch of words together; to be able to choose the right words and make the sentence sound that much more appealing and exciting. These tactics, I guess come to you over time, how to get the best punch-line to grab the maximum number of readers; after all writing is a gift of language and only those with high vocabulary can sensitize readers and grab their interest.
What is an illusion? I'm sort of confused. All my hopes or rather most of my hopes seem to be illusions, quite possible to achieve but unrealistic to occur. I make certain goals in life and hope some day I can achieve them or attain them. Life swerves in tango's- this side and that side leading me from one place to another. What's the difference between an illusion and hoping for something? Are they both the same, because sometime's I think that even though we hope for things and they don't happen it's just like an illusion although its realistic. Sorta confusing....

A Hundred Times Over...

So what's it like to make a new entry in life? Traveling, relationships, friendships, self- defeat battles.... Something I've always wondered about... What's the secret behind this? What is the easiest way to deal with this process? How many times in life do we have to start afresh?... Erase, rewind, fast forward, delete... it all sounds so easy... what makes things go right? what makes them go wrong? If only my mind was like a camera.. capture what you want... delete everything else..
some things are just not in your power or ability to change them... circumstances, whatever it is...

The Power of Music!

Music has the power within it to distract anyone. Most often, this distraction happens at the wrong times! Usually people listen to their i Pods, and walk mans while traveling and this is played a huge setback in their performance. We are led into this sub-conscious state, where our level of awareness is dimmed and body reflexes act in accordance to the tune we are listening to. This “so called” predication can be justified by the tempo of music playing in any gym. It is high paced, with allot of beats involved, so that the body is in the groove and rhythm of the workout. All those sappy, love songs have a very good impounding effect on slowing down the energy levels in our body, keeping us in a calm and peaceful state. Listening to music at work, a harmless act many white-collared employers engage in changes the entire mentality of writing. Instead of giving a 100% to an article being written, music I was listening to crept in and found a way to lower my concentration. Perpetuall...

The current economic meltdown of one of the leading industrialized nations of the world USA, has now wrapped its way around the world! The effects of Wall Street, are not limited to New York and the US alone, but are affecting markets from corner to corner. With drops and blows to the US Dollar, to increased fuel prices, the shaken-up US economy throws its neighbours in one of the most deadly setbacks faced in the market in a very long time. A dark heavy cloud enwraps upon our destiny. Sudden loss of jobs in the economy, loss in hope and faith in people… this collapse in the economy has affected people in every aspect of their lives. Higher fuel prices force children to walk to school, so as to save money! Studying form old textbooks, paying more for their lunch, wearing last year’s clothes all steps to save money, because of...

What a different year its been...

Its been such a unique year-2008. Starting the year off by representing The Banyan, where I worked along with my team members running the Mumbai marathon to creating a newsletter for my organization, called Nambikkai, which got recognition by appearing in the local Chennai newspaper this year has been full of wonderful episodes in my life. I never imagined that something I wrote, would get such recognition! In my own special way i was able to create an impact at the Banyan. This was the year I had first applied for my masters in communication and journalism. I wrote a beautiful essay, got through and the only part to get through was by flying back to Mumbai to appear for the entrance, but I was convinced to stay back...being told I was doing well at my job and i could always apply next year. So, I thought about it, and decided I would do my masters next year. I stayed back and ultimately in the end decided to resign on August 3rd.. I needed a change..a break from my job. explore w...
